EMI Names New Director of Engineering

Santa Ana, Calif. — Express Manufacturing Inc. (EMI) announces that Thomas Ng has joined the company as director of engineering.
Ng will spearhead the operations of EMI's Engineering Service Group, including new product introduction (NPI), PCB design and layout, as well as hardware and systems design. He has more than 20 years of engineering experience in the computer, automobile and consumer electronics industries. He previously served as systems engineering director for Zandiant Technologies, a company that provides telematics systems, engineering and software development services to vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, systems integrators and wireless service providers. Ng managed all aspects of Zandiant's System Engineering Group, including hardware design, document control, hardware validation and testing, and quality assurance.
Prior to joining Zandiant, Ng served as principal engineer for AST Research, a leading computer manufacturer. Under his leadership, AST penetrated new markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Ng was also responsible for AST's Product Engineering Group, encompassing PCB design and layout, prototype fabrication and functional testing. He graduated from the University of Alberta, Canada.
