President of Poland Honors Mentor Graphics Chief Scientist

Wilsonville, Ore. — Mentor Graphics Corp. announces that the chief scientist and director of engineering for the company's Design-for-Test (DFT) product group, Janusz Rajski, Ph.D., has been awarded the prestigious title of "Professor of Science," the highest research degree in Poland.
The award was presented to Rajski by the president of the Republic of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw on November 5.
Rajski is the principal inventor of the Embedded Deterministic Test (EDT) technology and architect of the revolutionary Mentor Graphics DFT product based on this technology, TestKompress. He received this honor for his "fundamental contributions in the area of design and test of digital circuits and systems."
A well-respected scientist in his field, Rajski has published more than 100 research papers, several of which have won awards at international engineering conferences, and is a co-inventor of 12 U.S. patents. Rajski received a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Gdansk, Poland, and a doctorate degree in engineering from the Technical University of Poznan, Poland.
