Aries Electronics Receives ISO 9001:2000 Upgrade Certification

Frenchtown, N.J. — Aries Electronics has received its ISO9001:2000 upgrade certification, based on an audit performed by the company's independent audit company, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, of Houston, Texas.As part of its long-term goal to maintain its ISO certification, Aries formulated and implemented a plan to meet the new ISO9001:2000 standards that included Aries' annual customer survey, internal audits and statistical process control methods, such as failure analysis studies, to enable the company to identify and respond to customer needs and industry demands. Specific areas on which Aries focused its improvement efforts included delivery, product development, technical support and quality control. Aries has been ISO certified since 1995.ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system aimed at helping organizations achieve customer satisfaction and continual improvement. This is demonstrated through the ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. In order for a company to measure and ensure customer satisfaction, companies must conduct regular customer surveys to obtain quantitative data relating to the customers perception of the company, as well as its products and services.
