ElectroniCast President to Present at OptiComm 2003 Conference

San Mateo, Calif. — ElectroniCast President Stephen Montgomery will present at the Fourth International Conference on Optical Networking and Communications (OptiComm 2003) in Dallas, taking place October 13 through 17, 2003.
The conference is co-sponsored by the SPIE, the IEEE (Dallas Section) and the NSF; and in cooperation with the IEEE Technical Committee on Gigabit Networks (TCGN), the IEEE Technical Committee on Transmission, Access & Optical Systems (TCTAOS), and the SPIE Technical Group on Optical Networks (TGON).Montgomery will participate in the "Optical Telecom Market Recovery" session on October 17. Csaba Szabo, professor at the Technical University of Budapest, will chair the session. Other speakers for the session are Tom Brenner of OCG and Christopher Thomas, director of marketing, Optical Products Group, Intel Corp.This year, OptiComm 2003 returns to its inaugural home (in 2000) and continues its tradition by bringing together some of the brightest minds in optical networking from across academic, industrial and government research communities. The conference program comprises two parallel technical tracks, high-profile keynote addresses from Cisco, Intel and Alcatel, panel sessions, a wide range of tutorial courses, a poster session, demos/exhibit, and a full-day industry program. The Industry Watch program has become part of the successful tradition of OptiComm and provides attendees with a meaningful insight into the key current industry trends and practices.
