DEK Enhances Its Stencil Manufacturing Capabilities; Installs Next-generation Inspection System
September 30, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
San Jose, Calif. — DEK has installed state-of-the-art stencil inspection capabilities in its advanced stencil manufacturing operations.
As electronic products get smaller and increasingly complex, the need for error-free stencil production is more critical than ever before. By incorporating this advanced inspection technology into DEK's stencil manufacturing method, the company is elevating its leading, precise stencil production process to a new level of manufacturing control. The equipment reportedly will allow DEK to inspect fine-pitch SMT and advanced semiconductor stencil apertures down to 0.002 x 0.002."
The inspection system can detect errors with an accuracy of ± 0.0002", handle stencils with a frame size of up to 32.2 x 39.3", examine any type of stencil and locate damage that occurred during stencil use. Positional defects, dimensional errors and missing apertures are also detected with this system.
DEK is a global provider of advanced pre-placement manufacturing solutions and innovative deposition technologies for a wide range of electronic materials. For more information, visit www.dek.com.
