Electronic Component Orders Stay Steady in July, Says ECA
August 12, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Arlington, Va. — Electronic component orders remained steady in July, according to the monthly index issued by the Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA).
ECA says there are positive signs ahead with the latest report from the Commerce Department that manufactured goods rose 1.7 percent in June. The association thinks this means manufacturers are using their electronic components inventories and it will soon be time to replenish.
The Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA) represents manufacturers and producers of passive and active electronic components, component arrays and assemblies, and materials and support services. For more information, visit www.ec-central.org.
