Flextronics Announces First Quarter Results

Singapore — Flextronics International Ltd. has announced results for the quarter ended June 30, 2003.
Net sales totaled $3.1 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2003, reflecting a 1.5 percent sequential increase over the prior quarter sales. Pro forma net income was $20.4 million or 4 cents per diluted share, which is down moderately from $25.4 million, or 5 cents per diluted share, respectively, in the prior sequential quarter. After including after-tax amortization expense of $7.9 million and unusual charges of $302.2 million, Flextronics incurred a GAAP loss of $289.7 million, which amounts to a 56 cent loss per diluted share.
