Dow Corning Offers Online Tools and Services

Midland, Mich. — Dow Corning Corp. has added innovative online tools and services that offer Web site visitors a wide range of benefits.
These include 24/7 access to product information, reordering and order tracking capabilities, and a new Live Help function that enables Web site visitors to get answers to product and technical questions in real-time, using a live chat function.
In addition to these innovations, portions of the corporate and Molykote Web sites, www.dowcorning.com and www.molykote.com, are now available in German, and both will be available in Japanese in July, with more languages to follow.
Reflecting its commitment to provide customers with the tools and information they need to succeed in the marketplace, Dow Corning now offers a range of services, including a free Dow Corning Electronics Solutions Tutorial CD-ROM, a tool that provides quick-reference information; white papers; data sheets; and product selector guides.
Also available to visitors are several online calculators, including a Structural Bite Calculator that determines the structural bite specifications required for structural glazing applications; a Deadload Calculator that enables customers to determine the amount of silicone required for a project; and a Sealant Usage Estimator.
For registered customers and distributors, the company offersDow Corning Premier, a customized online tool that provides immediate access to a variety of value-added services. These range from order history and account balance tracking to a host of tools, such as a Application Troubleshooter that allows customers and distributors in the construction industry to secure recommended solutions for common problems.
