Digitaltest Sells MTS500 Condor XL to The Test Connection
July 10, 2003 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Concord, Calif. and Reisterstown, Md. — US Digitaltest Inc., a subsidiary of Digitaltest GmbH of Blankenloch, Germany, announces that The Test Connection Inc. (TTCI) has purchased the MTS 500 Condor XL, the most advanced member of Digitaltest's MTS family of test systems.
TTCI is the oldest electronics test engineering company in the U.S., providing manufacturing and test industry solutions since its founding in 1980.
The MTS 500 Condor XL uses a high-speed, four-head design; the new heads are capable of reaching an acceleration of greater than 20 g via a state of the art servo motor drive system. With the new head technology, movements of 6 mm reportedly can take less than 12 milliseconds.
The new heads employ Digitaltest's Active Head Concept technology. Critical measurements are performed directly in the heads rather than through the long signal path to the Analog Measurement Unit. The Active Head Concept allows accurate and stable measurements of a wide range of capacitors and resistors. In addition, the active heads also support boundary scan testing and opens check probing.
Atlantech Inc. of Springfield, Va. facilitated the sale of the MTS 500 Condor XL to TTCI.
The MTS 500 Condor XL is the most recent Flying prober introduced to the market. With a SMEMA-compatible conveyor and the ability to test boards up to 24 x 28", the system is targeted for a variety of production environments. The test system is said to combine an in-circuit test system with functional testing capabilities. Vision test capability is also employed to provide non-electrical testing.
Digitaltest GmbH, based in Germany, is a worldwide leader in advanced hardware and software testing solutions for electronics manufacturers. For more information, visit www.digitaltest.net.
