HID Corp. Acquires Card and Reader Business from Dorado

Irvine, Calif. -- HID Corp., an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has acquired the card and reader business of Dorado Products Inc.
The acquisition was finalized on April 16, 2003.
Dorado cards and readers will be branded as Dorado by HID. Effective immediately, customers can purchase Dorado readers and cards directly from HID in Irvine. Information on how to place orders along with Frequently Asked Questions and Answers can be found on HID's Web site. There will be no interruption of service. All Dorado customers will receive updates from HID to insure continuity of product delivery and service.HID will foster strong personal relationships with Dorado customers. The acquisition will provide opportunities for new product innovations, growth and services within HID's expanding RFID and contactless smart card access control businesses.
