Universal Instruments Institutes Regional Sales Changes
April 11, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Binghamton, N.Y. -- Universal Instruments announces the retirement of Neil Murphy from the company after more than 27 years of service.
Murphy joined Universal in 1976 as a sales engineer covering eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and metropolitan New York/Long Island. Murphy's personal style and technical knowledge not only resulted in his assuming responsibility for increased territory, but also propelled him to a leadership role as regional sales manager for the eastern United States.
To ensure a smooth transition for Universal Instruments customers and sales personnel in the region, the company selected Matt Gilroy to fill the position of eastern U.S. regional manager.
Gilroy joined Universal in 1983 and has held a variety of successful positions within the company's field engineering, product management and sales organizations. Most recently he served as a corporate account manager, working closely with large, multinational customers.
Universal Instruments is a global electronics productivity specialist, providing innovative circuit, semiconductor and back-end assembly technologies and equipment, integrated system solutions, and process expertise to manufacturers in every sector of the electronics industry.
