Celestica Selects Agilent's New Automated X-Ray Test System
April 8, 2003 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Palo Alto, Calif. -- Celestica has selected Agilent Technologies Inc.'s 5DX Series 5000XL automated X-ray test system to create a complete test solution for complex printed circuit assemblies (PCAs).
The 5000XL provides the superior fault coverage and higher quality needed for testing large (up to 24 x 40"), complex PCAs used in next-generation communications systems by leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
The 5000XL offers customers all the benefits of the market-leading Agilent 5DX Series 5000 automated X-ray test system. The 5DX finds defects in solder joints resulting in higher end-product quality, and lower warranty repair and scrap costs. The system is said to achieve more than 90 percent fault coverage, making it the most effective solution for defect containment at post-reflow. The 5000XL model allows customers to test larger, thicker and heavier assemblies with taller components.
