Sanmina-SCI Achieves Certification Milestones
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Sanmina-SCI Corp. has become the first EMS company in the world to achieve ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000 Release 3.0 certification for its 14 communications-focused enclosure facilities.
These facilities, located in eight countries around the world, were certified by the Quality Management Institute (QMI), a division of Canadian Standards Association (CSA) group.
IMS Wins LM Award
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — International Manu-facturing Services Inc. (IMS), a leading thick and thin film chip resistor and chip attenuator supplier to the electronics manufacturing industry, has been named a recipient of the Lockheed Martin Corp. (LM) STAR Supplier — Facility Award. LM recognized IMS' management and employees at the Portsmouth, R.I. facility as one of the top-performing suppliers to LM. IMS was one of only five out of 2,000 LM vendors chosen to receive the award this year.
