Datcom Institutes Job Cuts, Streamlining in Radfeld and Singapore

Radfeld, Austria -- In the coming weeks, Datacon Technology AG will implement measures that will lead to a tighter and more efficient organization and reduced costs.
In addition to optimizing the process and organizational structure, these measures include a ten percent cut in the workforce, affecting mainly the parent company in Radfeld, Austria.To reach the profit zone again in the coming business year and to secure lasting success for the company -- the group is aiming for an EBIT of approximately 10 percent -- cuts are unavoidable. The planned revenue of the group in the coming business year is expected to grow by around 15 percent -- faster than the market but still not back to the volume of the boom years.Datacon Technology AG is an internationally operating group of companies that develops and produces high-precision machines for the semiconductor industry and thus supplies leading microelectronics companies worldwide. 450 staff are currently employed under the umbrella of Datacon Technology AG, 100 of whom work in Research and Development.
