Indianapolis -- Jeffery E. Bass has joined General Devices Co. as quality engineer for the company's quality department.
Bass' main duties will include administration of the purchased nonconforming material report (NMR) system and performing functional tests of General Devices' new or updated equipment and products. Bass will also coordinate the welder certification program.
Prior to joining General Devices, Bass was a quality engineer with Autoliv Inc. in Indianapolis, Ind. where he provided engineering support for the inspection and manufacturing of automotive safety restraint programs for Chrysler, Ford and GM. Bass' previous employers also include Henkel Surface Technologies in Carmel, Ind. and Cambridge Industries in Shelbyville, Ind.
Bass graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering technology.
