FeinFocus Grows 35 Percent in 2002
March 6, 2003 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Garbsen, Germany -- The company feinfocus experienced a 35 percent overall growth in 2002 over 2001, despite a downward trend in the industry.
Incredibly, growth rates in Asia and North America were more than 60 percent. Bookings for the company's flagship products -- T.I.G.E.R. and F.O.X. X-ray inspection systems -- were up more than 100 percent.
This growth is due, in part, to the company's commitment to technological advancements. The company introduced several new products during 2002, including:
- The Multifocus Tube (MFT), which features three modes of operation: nanofocus, microfocus, and high power to accommodate a multiplicity of applications. MFT was developed to complement the FOX-160.25 system (winner of 2001 Vision Award for industry excellence in inspection).
- True X-ray Intensity (TXI) control technology, which automatically stabilizes X-ray intensity output, resulting in repeatable X-ray images from sample to sample; and
- The T.I.G.E.R. 24 x 24" (610 x 610 mm) for large board applications.
A pioneer in micro and nanofocus X-ray inspection technology, feinfocus is headquartered in Garbsen, Germany, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2002.
In 2002, feinfocus GmbH and FeinFocus USA united to form feinfocus AG as the next logical step in the company's commitment to serving customers worldwide with one standard of quality and technical expertise. Dieter Friedemann has been appointed as the new Managing Director of feinfocus GmbH and the newly founded AG, with other managing directors, Alfred Reinhold and Lance Scott.
