San Diego -- The PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA) has named Teradyne Marketing Manager Bob Stasonis as its president and Geotest President Loofie Gutterman as its new director of marketing.
PXI (PCI Extensions for Instrumentation) was developed to bridge the gap between desktop PC systems and high-end VXI and GPIB systems. The PXISA was formed in 1998 by manufacturers and systems integrators to develop and maintain the PXI specification and ensure multi-vendor interoperability. The Alliance oversees the PXI specification that defines system-level hardware and software requirements for cPCI products used in test and measurement, industrial automation and data acquisition applications.
Stasonis has more than 24 years of technical, sales & marketing experience working with Teradyne, GenRad, Schlumberger and WK Test (formerly Wayne Kerr). In his role at Teradyne, Stasonis markets all of Teradyne's Assembly Test products into select vertical industries and also collects customer input for new product design. Mr. Stasonis is the author of numerous papers and articles related to electronics testing.
With more than 20 years of experience working in the Test & Measurement Industry in various engineering, sales, and marketing positions, Gutterman was instrumental in leading Geotest to develop a broad line of PXI products and systems. Gutterman is the author of numerous papers on PXI and electronics testing.
