ESI Names Bob Chamberlain Vice President, Customer Operations

Portland, Ore. -- Electro Scientific Industries Inc. has named Bob Chamberlain vice president, customer operations.
Chamberlain will oversee worldwide sales, service and marketing for the company. He has an extensive background in high technology and semiconductor capital equipment companies, including officer positions with Watkins-Johnson Co., Novellus Systems and Megatest Corp., and earlier sales and marketing positions with Applied Materials, Intel, Advanced Micro Devices and Fairchild Semiconductor. From 1996 to 1999 he was president and CEO of Micromonitors Inc. (now Serveron Systems). From 1999 to 2001 he was president of the semiconductor operations of AvantCom Networ, Inc. Most recently he was co-founder of Starview Technology Inc., a high-speed data management company.
