IPC IMS/PCB Presidents Management Meeting Provides Companies with Global Perspectives, Forecasts
January 9, 2003 |Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Northbrook, Ill. -- IPC -- Association Connecting Electronics Industries announces the agenda for its Interconnect Manufacturing Services (IMS)/PCB Presidents Management Meeting, taking place March 24 through 25, 2003, in Long Beach, Calif., in conjunction with IPC Printed Circuits Expo 2003.
Formerly the PCB Presidents Management Meeting, the Steering Committee recently updated the meeting's designation to IMS to better reflect the diversity of the printed circuit board industry.
This exclusive event, which continues to be the industry's premier summit for senior level executives of companies that produce PCBs and provide interconnect manufacturing services, begins with an expansive analysis of the IMS/PCB industry. Shawn Severson, Raymond James & Associates, will present an update on this ever-evolving industry and offer his perspective on its future direction. Next, a panel of experts will present "The Suppliers' Viewpoint" to discuss the latest IMS/PCB technologies and materials expected to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Wrapping up the morning sessions, representatives from Asia, Europe and North America will apply their global perspectives in their discussion of the best business practices to successfully run an IMS/PCB business.
In the afternoon, attendees will be able to participate in a "How's Business?" roundtable discussion, an interactive session designed to rotate individuals through targeted discussion groups, ranging from customer relations to financing capital expansion and marketing. Rounding out the first day, Aroon Tungare, Ph.D., Motorola, will analyze the product drivers, the value-added benefits and the challenges presented by embedded passives technology.
David Bell, Synchrocom, will open the second day of the IMS Presidents Management Meeting with an examination of the most effective and cost efficient methods of creating a corporate identity.
Next, aviation expert and former U.S. Air Force Tactical Air Command fighter pilot Dick Rutan will share the exhilarating experiences during his nine-day, around-the-world flight in the Voyager airplane in his keynote address to the attendees of IPC Printed Circuits Expo.
Finally, attendees of the IMS Presidents Management Meeting will be guided on a special VIP tour of the IPC Printed Circuits Expo show floor, which includes more than 200 elite exhibits of the latest technologies, materials and processes and the virtual manufacturing line of the new Embedded Passives Technology Center.
IPC is a trade association dedicated to the competitive excellence and financial success of its more than 2,500 member companies, which represent all facets of the electronics interconnection industry, including design, printed circuit board manufacturing and electronics assembly.
