KEMET to Begin Manufacturing in China

Greenville, S.C. -- KEMET Corp. plans to begin manufacturing operations in the People's Republic of China during calendar 2003.
This development results from the completion of a process initiated in 2002 of evaluating potential plant sites and product lines for manufacturing in the PRC. To support this initiative, Kirk Shockley is appointed to a newly created position, director of operations PRC. Shockley has been with KEMET for 20 years in various management positions in tantalum, ceramic and solid aluminum manufacturing.
