GlobespanVirata to Exceed Revenue Estimates For the Fourth Quarter of 2002

Red Bank, N.J. -- GlobespanVirata Inc. has updated its financial guidance for the fourth quarter of 2002.
GlobespanVirata now estimates its fourth quarter revenues in the range of $50 and $51 million and pro forma loss per share of 5 cents, compared with its previous financial guidance of revenues of approximately $49.3 million and pro forma loss per share of 6 cents. Additionally, GlobespanVirata's customers order activity has continued to build over the fourth quarter increasing its backlog of orders scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2003.
