Elcoteq Joins Symbian's Platinum Partner Program

Helsinki, Finland -- Elcoteq Network Corp. has joined Symbian's Platinum Partner Program, which will assist the company to design mobile handsets based on the Symbian operating system.
This agreement will significantly increase the ability of Elcoteq's Design Center in Salo, Finland to design smartphones.
Symbian designs, develops and licenses an open operating system called Symbian OS for mobile phones. Symbian is jointly owned by Ericsson, Nokia, Matsushita, Motorola, Psion, Siemens and Sony Ericsson. For more information, visit www.symbian.com.
