Elcoteq Will Reach Its Previously Announces Sales and Profit Targets in 2002

Helsinki, Finland -- Elcoteq will at least reach its previously announced sales and profit targets during the current quarter.
In the company's previous forecast it estimated fourth-quarter net sales to reach the same level as in the corresponding period last year, when net sales totaled MEUR 532. The result for the period was forecast to roughly equal the level in this year's third quarter, when the operating profit was MEUR 12.7.
During the current quarter Elcoteq's management has also become further convinced of the company's favorable sales and profit outlook for 2003.
