November 7, 2002 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Northbrook, Ill. -- IPC -- Association Connecting Electronics Industries(r) has added thousands of high-quality photographic images to its Online Store.
More than 4,200 images can now be purchased and downloaded for use in a variety of corporate training and educational situations.
The graphic images, which currently exist in IPC standards, desk reference manuals, computer-based training and training videos, are digitized from 35mm color slides. IPC's Online Store has categorized the 4,200 images into bare boards and assemblies, applications/end products, components, and electronic assembly/printed circuit board defects.
Only the purchasing company may use the images without written permission, and the images are not licensed for use in any commercial (for-profit) training products or services.
High-resolution images are typically one megabyte in size with 3,000 x 2,000 pixels at 10 x 6.6" at 300 dpi. Each high-resolution image is $40 for IPC members and $75 for non-members. Low-resolution images are normally 30 kilobytes with 324 x 216 pixels at 4.5 x 3" at 72 dpi. Each low-resolution image is $15 for members and $30 for nonmembers. All images are in JPEG format.
In addition to the images, IPC's Online Store now allows IPC members and non-members to download more than 1,000 IPC standards, publications and training sources on electronics assembly, circuit board fabrication and design. More than 440 technical papers submitted at IPCWorks, IPC Annual Meeting, IPC Printed Circuits Expo(r) and IPC SMEMA Council's APEX(r) technical conferences can also be downloaded at $10 for IPC members and $20 for nonmembers.
IPC is a U.S.-based trade association dedicated to the competitive excellence and financial success of its more than 2,600 member companies which represent all facets of the electronic interconnection industry, including design, printed wiring board manufacturing and electronics assembly.
