October 4, 2002 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
LaFox, Ill. and Seattle -- Richardson Electronics has signed an agreement with Lightel Technologies to distribute their ultrasonic SCC-3100 connector cleaner.
Under the terms of the agreement, Richardson will have worldwide distribution rights.
Lightel's SCC-3100 is a fiber connector cleaner that is easy to use and removes grease, dust, organic and inorganic contaminates from the end-surface of the fiber and connector ferrule to ensure the highest optical quality. This model can be used with single-mode or multimode fiber connectors including FC, SC, ST/PC, APC and many others.
The system employs a new ultrasonic technology exclusive to Lightel, which uses high frequency ultrasonic energy combined with a powerful jet stream of optical grade super cleaning solvent and finally a strong vacuum to clean tough grease and dust from the fiber-fiber mating interface. Lightel Technologies designs, manufactures and distributes a broad product line including FBT capital equipment, advanced passive devices and modules, EDFA's, and ultrasonic in-adapter cleaning tools.
