Rockwell Collins Wins Contract With China Eastern Airlines

The selection marks the first installation of PAVES by China Eastern Airlines. Delivery of the first equipped aircraft is scheduled for January 2003, with the remaining aircraft to be delivered by November 2005. The PAVES system features Rockwell Collins' leading edge digital audio distribution system, combined with a retractable liquid crystal display (LCD) video system renowned for its superior viewing quality and reliability.PAVES was the first programmable audio/video entertainment system for single-aisle aircraft. The system is currently installed on more than 500 aircraft and has been enhanced to reduce power consumption and weight. New features and functionality include new retractable monitors; a completely redesigned user interface that allows for simple one-touch operation; in-seat DVD functionality which can be integrated with its new Audio Distribution System (ADS) allowing the passenger to access the 22 standard audio channels and overhead video soundtracks; and backCHANNEL interactivity, providing passengers access to interactive entertainment and games.
San Jose, Calif. -- Adept Technology Inc. announces that first quarter revenue is anticipated to be below the company's previous expectations. Additionally, the company has engaged the investment bank, Broadview International, to explore strategic alternatives for Adept.
