Ronald C. Lasky, Ph.D., P.E., Joins SMT Magazine's Advisory Board

For the past 16 years, SMT has delivered educational and cutting-edge editorial to more than 43,000 subscribers regarding how to build printed circuit boards using surface mount technology. Lasky joins the staff of renowned board members who have guided the magazine into future prominence including:

- Jennie S. Hwang, Ph.D.
- Ray P. Prasad, Ph.D.
Lasky currently is a senior consultant to the Indium Corporation. Prior to this assignment, he had more than 20 years of experience in electronic and optoelectronic packaging at IBM, Universal Instruments and Cookson Electronics. He has authored or edited five books on science, electronics and optoelectronics and has written numerous technical papers. He has also been an adjunct professor at several colleges and has taught more than 20 different courses on topics including electronic packaging, materials science, physics, mechanical engineering and general science. He has earned four degrees, including a Ph.D. in Materials Science and a professional engineering degree. Lasky holds numerous patent disclosures and is the developer of several new concepts in SMT processing software relating to cost estimating, line balancing and process optimization.
