Assembleon Partnerships Succeed In Competitive Asian Market

In 2001/2, Assembleon formed two important relationships in its bid to grow its sales in buoyant Asian markets. In November 2001, the company joined with Cookson Electronics in a global Alliance, formed to supply integrated production line solutions to electronics manufacturers. Then, in March 2002, Assembleon concluded an agreement with Autron to combine forces to promote and support Assembleon equipment in Asia. Since Autron already represented Cookson Electronics in Asia, it was well placed to support Alliance lines.
Quebec City, Canada and Dallas -- EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. has signed an agreement to purchase substantially all the assets of gnubi communications, L.P., including its technology, expertise, customer base and inventories, in a stock-and-cash deal that ranges between US $4.3 million and US $7.2 million.
