Omron Expands in China
Omron Corp. is expanding its business in China by upgrading its regional holding company Omron China Group Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong to the status of China Head Office. Presently, the head office is stationed in Hong Kong, while duties such as intellectual property rights work and public relations and affairs are assigned to locations in other regions of China (Beijing and Shanghai).
RAL Expands Analysis Services
Raytheon's Reliability Analysis Laboratory (RAL) expanded its electronic component analysis service to include more detailed investigations in the areas of material characterization, nondestructive evaluation and test, and surface analysis of microprocessors, discrete components and PCBAs. The addition of a new real-time X-ray system allows RAL to nondestructively test a wider variety of miniature parts.
Sager Launches New Web Site
Sager Electronics launched improved navigations and new features to its corporate Web site, www.sager.com, to further support the needs of electronics engineers and the purchasing community. A new online Search Center also is available that makes finding detailed product information to meet design needs faster and easier. Included in the Search Center is the SynerSpec Design Tool, previously only available to Sager employees.
Tyco and ViTechnology Enter an Agreement
Tyco Electronics Automation Group announced a marketing agreement with ViTechnology. Under this agreement, Tyco Electronics Automation Group will be a worldwide sales representative for ViTechnology's line of AOI equipment featuring Vectoral Imaging technology, which is ViTechnology's patented enabling AOI technology.
Asymtek Redesigns Web Site
Asymtek redesigned its corporate Web site with a look that reflects its commitment to keeping up with the latest technologies and trends in electronics manufacturing. Located at www.asymtek.com, the reformed Web site allows easier navigation, better cross-links to related information and an enhanced search engine. Customers also can find information on the company's most popular spare parts and consumables in its Web Store.
Indium Introduces Online Site
The Indium Corp. of America introduced an e-commerce service called Solder Online, allowing online review and purchase of the company's full range of solder products. The site also offers customers the ability to use multiple ship-to addresses, submit quote requests for items that are not offered online and modify address information.
