Orbotech Announces Second Quarter 2002 Results

Revenues for the second quarter of 2002 totaled $54.2 million, compared to the $76.5 million recorded in the second quarter a year ago. Net loss for the second quarter of 2002, excluding a previously announced restructuring charge of $600,000, net of taxes, was $600,000 million, or 2 cents per share (diluted), compared with net income of $6.1 million, or 19 cents per share (diluted), in the second quarter of 2001. Including the restructuring charge, the reported net loss for the second quarter of 2002 was $1.2 million, or 4 cents per share (diluted).
