EPA Sponsors Six TRI Compliance Workshops

Northbrook, Ill. -- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has lowered the reporting threshold for lead under the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) rule to 100 lb. The rule is effective immediately, and the requirements for lead and lead compound emissions will apply to all lead use and waste management during 2001. The reports for 2001 emissions are due to the EPA by July 1, 2002.
