Aerosol Coating
December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Staticide ESD is a permanent ESD acrylic coating that can reportedly be applied to most any insulative material or surface. It comes in a 16 oz aerosol spray can containing 12 oz of ESD coating. It is said to use a mixed-metal-oxide semiconductor as the static-dissipative agent in a clear acrylic-polymer coating. It does not contain carbon black, which can slough and leave black marks when rubbed. It also does not contain amines, quaternary ammonium salts or organic acid salt anti-stats. The product reportedly does not contain silicones, plastisizers or other potential IC, MR head or board contaminating materials.
