Printing and Inspection Machines
December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
The Ultraprint 1500 can be configured with options that address demands of flexbility or performance, or both. It is capable of printing boards up to 22 × 20", and includes standard features such as automatic board-to-stencil alignment, a self-leveling dual- squeegee print head and programmable hard board stops. The Ultraprint 3000 Ultraflex is designed for double-sided products and can reportedly handle fine-pitch and µBGA technologies. It includes synchronized motion control, automatic tooling, and a "lights-out" design for technician-free operation and remote changeover. Finally, two new options are being added to the AP HiE: the SpeedMax high-speed package and the BridgeVision inspection system. The former includes board staging capability and real-rail camera park, and is designed to reduce transport and alignment times. The latter is said to be the first production-ready system for detecting and preventing on-board solder shorts.
