HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - Boundless Manufacturing Services Inc. (BMS) acquired Boca Research Inc.`s 70,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Boca Raton, Fla. BMS will assume manufacturing services, leasing and other support services, and also plans to staff the facility from Boca Research`s current team of manufacturing and supply chain associates.
BMS will continue to manufacture PCB assemblies supported by several SMT lines in its new facility. The manufacturing activity will include the uninterrupted supply of Boca Research`s modem products, as well as new products as they are released. In addition, BMS will provide Boca Research with distribution and logistical services.
"We are excited about adding PCB assemblies capability to our existing build-to-order (BTO) capability, and extending our integration of the total supply chain for our customers," said Joseph V. Joy, president, BMS. "In addition to the existing ... capability, [BMS] will use its expertise to implement BTO systems assembly in the Florida location, expanding our proximity to the markets served by our customers."
