February 18, 2011 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, announced that Paramit Corporation has been sold to Altaris Capital Partners LLC. Lincoln advised Paramit in the transaction, the terms of which were not disclosed.
Paramit is a provider of manufacturing services to leading OEMs in the medical devices and life sciences diagnostics and research tools markets. In addition to its medical manufacturing capabilities, the company provides high-mix complex EMS to the industrial and defense markets. The company’s capabilities include PCB assembly, system integration, high-end testing solutions, system integration and repair and a full range of global outsourcing and supply chain management services. With this transaction, Paramit becomes a portfolio company of Altaris, a leading investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry.
Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the company, working with the senior management team throughout the sale process. This included initiating the transaction, providing advisory expertise and assisting in the negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.
“Lincoln’s combination of leading industry expertise in both the EMS and Healthcare industries was critical in consummating this transaction,” said Billoo Rataul, President and CEO of Paramit. “The Lincoln team did an exceptional job of introducing a great partner in Altaris to the company, as well as providing vital healthcare specific advisory services and transaction experience particular to EMS companies. Lincoln’s dedication and commitment to Paramit have provided an outstanding result for the company and its shareholders.”
Jack Calderon, a Managing Director at Lincoln International and the head of its Global Electronics Group, commented, “This transaction epitomizes Lincoln’s ability to advise companies utilizing teams with expertise that spans multiple industries. Lincoln’s global presence and strong industry verticals enable the completion of diverse and complex transactions on a worldwide basis.”
