US Energy's AEC Enters Manufacturing Agreement with EdgeAccess
August 30, 2006 |Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
US Energy Initiatives Corp. (OTCBB:USEI) today announced its subsidiary, Automated Engineering Corp. (AEC), has executed a Manufacturing Agreement with EdgeAccess. The Agreement has resulted in Purchase Orders exceeding $125,000 for 2006 and is expected to reach $3,000,000 for 2007.
"EdgeAccess is precisely the type of high caliber account we seek to facilitate the expansion of the market presence of AEC," said AEC President Phil Rappa. "EdgeAccess, like many OEMs, are discovering that the cost of transportation has eroded any labor savings gained in offshore manufacturing. We are now reinforcing our existing client base and populating AEC with clients seeking domestic manufacturing," concluded Mr. Rappa.
"We are pleased to be working with AEC. Their executive management fully understands the complexities of hi tech product development, manufacturing and the realities of customer satisfaction. They have been energetic and cooperative in assisting EdgeAccess to achieve our marketing goals with our VoiceWise 24 SVR product line. As we continue to expand our manufacturing, we look to AEC to help fulfill our expansion efforts in the VoIP sector," said Chuck Weaver, Director of Project Management for EdgeAccess.
"AEC has surpassed our expectations," said US Energy CEO Mark Clancy. "Mr. Rappa is uniquely qualified to lead the engineering/manufacturing component of our Company to the next level. In eight short weeks since our acquisition of AEC, we've seen improvements in weekly shipments, cost of goods and an elevated engineering capability. With Mr. Rappa at the helm, we are confident that AEC will be a significant contributor to our success," concluded Mr. Clancy. About EdgeAccess Inc.
