Lite-On Technology Reports NT$17.5B July Revenue
August 10, 2015 | Lite-On TechnologyEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
EMS firm Lite-On Technology has reported consolidated revenues of NT$17.48 billion ($552 million at $1:NT$31.66) for July, a decrease of 1% compared to the previous month and down by 16% year-on-year, mainly due to impacts from slowdowns in worldwide ICT end-market demand. Cumulative sales for January to July totaled NT$120.69 billion ($3.81 billion).
The Optoelectronics business segment contributed a 24% share of Lite-On's overall revenue. Thanks to high-end camera module shipment growth, coupled with moderate demand for LED products, Optoelectronics' July revenue grew by 4% month-on-month.
The Information Technologies business segment accounted for 50% of sales, of which Power Systems' July revenue grew by about 10% sequentially as a result of increases in global demand for server power management systems in cloud computing applications, mobile devices and game consoles.
The Storage business segment accounted for 15% of total revenue, a result of declining end-demand for PC applications worldwide.
