Jabil Circuit Inc., a U.S.-headquartered global manufacturing services company that provides comprehensive product solutions to electronics and technology companies in a broad range of industries, has selected Splunk Inc.'s Enterprise Security (ES) to help quickly identify and prevent cybersecurity threats and protect the intellectual property of its global customers. Jabil also expanded its use of Splunk Enterprise for a variety of IT operations use cases.

"Splunk ES is the modern day security command center and hands down the only security solution we trust to help us protect the intellectual property of our customers," said Devin Cambridge, global managing cybersecurity officer, Jabil. "Jabil has used Splunk Enterprise for years to monitor the health of our global networks, and the platform has saved teams hundreds of hours of time by quickly finding and resolving issues. Splunk ES has been a natural fit as the security nerve center at Jabil because it speeds our response times, makes us more proactive and delivers a clear picture of what is happening."

Splunk ES is a premium solution that runs on Splunk Enterprise. Jabil uses Splunk Enteprise and Splunk ES as its security information and event management (SIEM) system for real-time analysis of machine data to detect, respond to and prevent security threats across its networks. Splunk ES also helps to protect Jabil’s manufacturing execution systems (MES). Jabil security teams rely on Splunk security solutions to easily correlate structured and unstructured data, no matter the data source, and to set up rules and alerts that quickly identify and visualize threats.

"Organizations like Jabil make security purchasing decisions very carefully. They are protecting not only their internal assets but also the intellectual property of their own customers," said Haiyan Song, senior vice president of security markets, Splunk. "A growing number of Splunk customers save time and money by solving IT problems with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud while helping to secure their organization with a proactive approach enabled by Splunk ES."
