Lincoln International EMS Index Fell 0.5% in Q1 2016

Lincoln International's EMS Stock Index underperforms the S&P in the first quarter of 2016. The Tier 1 (EMS companies with revenues greater than $3 billion) decreased by 2.3% from the previous quarter, while the Mid Index (Tier 2; $300 million to $3 billion in revenues) went up by 8.3% and the Small Index (Tier 3; EMS companies with revenues below $300 million) increased by 6.2%. The Overall EMS Index decreased by 0.5% from last quarter.

The winners circle includes Sanmina Corp. (Tier 1), which posted a quarter-on-quarter share price increase of 13.6%; Plexus Corp. (Tier 2), which gained 13.2%; and IEC Electronics Corp. (Tier 3), which surged by 38%.

The worst performers are Jabil Circuit Inc. (Tier 1), which fell by 17.3%; Sparton Corp. (Tier 2), which shed 10%; and SigmaTron International Inc. (Tier 3), which dropped by 17.5%).
