Technica USA and its SMT supply partners will be hosting their annual SMT Tech Forum, September 14 & 15 in San Jose, Calif., on the topic of "Building Reliability into your SMT Process."

This year's Tech Forum is focused around the reliability of electronics PCBAs. The morning session will be held at the Club Auto Sport Event Center, where a light breakfast and lunch will be provided. This will be followed by applicable machine demonstrations in the demo lab at Technica USA to demonstrate the topics presented in the morning sessions. Speakers from RBP Chemical, ASM Assembly Systems, HERAEUS and ERSA will be on hand to discuss aspects of the SMT assembly process, as well as the materials used, which can all affect the long-term reliability of a PCB during its lifecycle.

Technical presentations will be delivered by: Michael Carano, V.P. Technology and Business Development for RBP Chemical Technology; Jeff Schake, Senior Engineer at ASM Assembly Systems; James Wertin, Manager, Technical Sales and Applications Americas with Heraeus Electronics - Assembly Materials; and Ernie Grice, Vice President Sales for Kurtz ERSA North America.

Jason Perry, Director of Sales for Technica USA stated, “We are pleased to offer another of the technical events that our customers find valuable and educational. Since the curriculum and agenda for both days of the event is the same, it allows our customers the flexibility to offer more of their employees the privilege of attending.  We look forward to holding another successful event for everyone involved.”

Invitations for the event are currently being distributed by the Technica sales staff. Customers should feel free to contact Technica directly to reserve their seat, since seating is limited, by emailing Elliot Le (ele@technica.com) or Jason Perry (jperry@technica.com).
