Jabil Inc. was named the "2017 Best Supplier" in the Site Material, TMI, EMS and Logistics category by Ericsson. The award recognizes Jabil for its excellence in transforming the product platforms with flexibility, speed and quality and for its excellence in supply chain orchestration.
"We are incredibly excited and honored to be receiving this recognition from Ericsson," said Emanuele Cavallaro, Vice President of Global Business Units at Jabil. "As the digital economy requires new approaches to supply chain management, our work and focus on supply chain orchestration helps drive an unmatched experience for our customers."
According to the company's website, Ericsson works with approximately 30,000 suppliers worldwide that account for a large part of the deliveries to their customers. As the telecommunications industry continues to transform, collaborations with their key suppliers remain a key factor for success to deliver innovative, cost competitive and compliant solutions to market.
Ericsson's annual "Executive Supplier Collaboration Day" held in Stockholm, Sweden this year recognized the company's top five suppliers across four categories: Sustainability; Technical consultancy; Components; and Site Material, TMI, EMS and Logistics. With approximately 250 suppliers in attendance, this year's event featured speakers covering topics such as networks, digital services, sustainability and more.
"Jabil's global footprint is supporting the execution of Ericsson’s supply strategy with presence in all regions. This strengthens Ericsson´s flexibility and reliability to serve our customers’ demands and allows efficient and seamless new product introductions globally," said Ronald Nilsson, Vice President & Head of Site Products, TMI, EMS & Logistics Sourcing at Ericsson.
