MC Assembly, a leading mid-tier electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, has signed a new manufacturing contract with Boston-based United Electric Controls.

United Electric Controls is a global supplier of pressure and temperature switches, transmitters, controls, sensors and more. The company’s explosion-proof pressure transmitters provide continuous pressure monitoring in hazardous area applications, specifically within the oil and gas industries. The company’s full range of products serve the process, discrete, semiconductor, aerospace and defense industries.

MC Assembly will manufacture custom electronics for the international company, which has manufactured durable and reliable products for the oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical, water, wastewater and power industries since 1931.

“United Electric Controls is a long-established business that represents that type of companies we enjoy partnering with at MC Assembly,” said Jake Kulp, vice president of sales and marketing for MC Assembly. “Our commitment as an electronics manufacturing services provider is to provide our clients with a low-risk, total product life cycle solution for their needs.”

Offering tier one EMS capabilities with a mid-tier focus, MC Assembly currently has operations in Melbourne, Fla., Billerica, Mass. and Zacatecas, Mexico. In January, the company nearly doubled its manufacturing presence in Billerica, moving to a new 58,000-square-foot manufacturing space.
