Meet Cooler Cao, the author of one of our newest SMT007 columns, Global Connections. Cooler will cover all aspects of cables, cable assemblies, and wire harness technologies. His aim is to help companies who design and use these technologies to find the best connection solutions.

Cooler is an engineering manager for Cabletree Industrial Co. Ltd. He has been in the cable assembly business for more than 17 years, and has served in a variety of roles, including project management, engineering and production. His expertise is in overmolding cable assembly and complex wire harness projects.

“I have been working closely with customers for years, helping them design and call for the best connection solutions possible,” he says. “At the urging of some of these customers, I decided to take their advice and start sharing what I know.
