Vertex to Inject Hong Kong Investment
Vertex is hoping to revive its struggling PCB business with a new investment from a Hong Kong-based private equity fund. Poor management has resulted in the company's sharp revenue drop from NT$300 million down to NT$510,000 in June this year.
Vertex covers a wide business area, but inefficient leadership and management caused a 90 percent drop in the company's overall revenue across its business segment.
Hannstar Board Targets 40% Global Notebook PCB Share
Hannstar Board is aiming to ship about 40 million to 42 million units of notebook PCBs next year--accounting for about 40 percent of the global market share.
Worldwide shipment of notebook PCBs next year is expected to increase by 20 percent, mainly driven by the emergence of ultra-low cost notebook PCs. Hannstar Board expects its expansion plans to boost its global production share to 50 percent.
