New Precision Dispensing Tools and Materials

Able to accommodate all solder pastes, ProFlow ATx combines a low-volume print chamber with a paste loading mechanism. Within the print chamber, ProFlow ATx’s conditioning grid actively conditions the solder paste materials and the system subsequently delivers a robust paste roll for precise aperture filling. ProFlow ATx’s direct, automatic loading from industry standard packaging minimizes manual intervention and costs. Materials are contained in a sealed environment. Precision Defoaming/Mixing System
The Japan Unix Uni-Cyclone Centrifugal Mixer/Defoamer is made for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, electronics, paints and coatings, and dental industries. The defoaming/mixing system is capable of programming duration, cycle profile and up to 1500 RPM centrifugal speed, as well as internal rotational speed. The unit can be used for solder paste, cosmetics, semiconductor materials, solar pastes, epoxies, and other materials. With the Japan Unix Uni-Cyclone, mixing of materials and defoaming are accomplished with cycle times that are said to be half of conventional mixers. Automatic Tooling for Board and Substrate
Grid-Lok Gold offers automation, high-density pin array, and sensitive locking technology with an enhanced design and foolproof electrical connectivity ergonomics. Grid-Lok Gold also features a half-size control enclosure for easier integration into host equipment. The fixture accommodates diverse product demands from basic SMT to high-density double-sided assemblies. Once the substrate is loaded, the system automatically takes control to gently raise the high-density array of pneumatically-controlled pins. These conform to the board topography, including underside components, and lock firmly into place. The support pin array maintains its configuration until independently reset for the next board. Dual Simultaneous Jet Dispensing
Dual simultaneous jetting uses two DispenseJet valves to jet fluid, reducing dispense time by 50% while reducing process variability with Calibrated Process Jetting Plus (CPJ+) capability. It suits applications like CSP underfill and LED silicone encapsulation on multi-up panelized or patterned parts, or for similar applications where precision, accuracy, reliability, and increased throughput are required. When jetting simultaneously it is critical that both jets deliver the same mass. Dual simultaneous jetting, in conjunction with Nordson ASYMTEK's CPJ+ technology, ensures that flow rates for both DispenseJets deliver the same mass per part for uniform deposition. The system automatically compensates for fluid viscosity changes over time as well as batch-to-batch variations. Dual simultaneous jetting cuts dispense time in half, while CPJ+ technology increases dispense accuracy for higher yields and ensures consistent Takt times for improved process capability (CpK). The jets feature flexible spacing options. Dual simultaneous jetting is available on Nordson ASYMTEK's Spectrum S-920N Series. The S-920N platform targets high-volume microelectronics manufacturing and PCB assembly. LED Prime UVA Spot-Curing System
The BlueWave LED Prime UVA high-intensity spot-curing system offers many advantages over conventional spot-curing systems including no consumable bulbs to change, no warm-up, cool cures, and constant intensity for thousands of hours. The BlueWave LED Prime UVA generates curing energy using high-intensity LEDs and produces nearly double the intensity of conventional LED spot-curing lamps. This system delivers maximum curing energy through a 5-mm-diameter lightguide, with an output up to 15 W/cm2. While providing more power, the design also eliminates the safety concerns from the high heat generated by units with the LED array at the end of the wand. In addition, the relatively narrow frequency band produced by LEDs generates cooler curing temperatures at the substrate level. The unit is CE certified, RoHS compliant, offers user-friendly operation, and boasts a useful LED life of over 50,000 hours. The BlueWave LED Prime UVA also includes an intensity adjustment feature. Intensity level measurement is easily accomplished with a radiometer. The DYMAX ACCU-CAL 50-LED radiometer is used to take readings through the lightguide in process development and actual production settings, providing the most accurate and consistent method of light-intensity measurement. DYMAX offers single and multi-legged lightguides that are compatible with the BlueWave LED Prime UVA.
