From the Show: Free Printing Seminars at APEX
March 31, 2009 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
LAS VEGAS DEK will present three free seminars on the show floor at the IPC APEX Expo, with the first two occurring today. Visit Booth 2412 at 11 am and 2 pm today for seminars on getting more out of the print process and yielding better products while lowering overall costs.
Thursday's seminar will take place at 11 am, April 2.
"These seminars aren't about touting a product or a service," explains DEK Americas GM Brian Lau. DEK's experts will share process knowledge and real-world results, including recent product evaluations and customer case studies. Data presentations will generally take about 15 minutes.
Part of the data presented will center on results from a recent stencil study that evaluated the impact of stencil metallization and manufacturing techniques. With a variety of stencil material types available, choosing the proper stencil material or format can be difficult. DEK has collected the volumetric results of print deposits from a selection of different stencil materials and, during the seminar, will discuss result comparisons and process recommendations.
DEK application specialists will deliver findings from a recent EMS customer study that analyzed equipment selection and productivity tools, proving how proper use of systems can positively impact yield and reduce costs. The study was a multi-phase evaluation consisting of printing machine and printing process analysis of an SMT line at a high-volume auto parts supplier. Results show that fully utilizing the power of the installed print platform can result in significant cost savings, as well as deliver throughput and yield improvements.
