Business Objects, Valor Partner for Dashboard Solution
October 28, 2008 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
YAVNE, Israel Software provider Valor Computerized Systems will enable its customers to monitor their manufacturing operations in real-time through dashboards linked directly to the manufacturing floor. The new capability is enabled by integrating technology from Business Objects.
Integrating Business Objects' technology, Valor's manufacturing dashboards display accurate and rapid interpretation of data from a company's manufacturing and testing operations. The dashboards are designed for users to proactively manage performance and shorten response times to market changes. Valor's dashboards include many adjustable templates out of the box. Each dashboard template displays specific key performance indicators (KPIs) giving critical visibility into every operational environment, to quickly identify trends or patterns in-progress for early corrective action.
With the goal of ensuring an efficient production flow, the line-level solution provides SMT workers with real-time information about line/machine performance and work order status, as well as a wide range of analytical results that measure the usage, productivity, and quality of the assembly process. These include OEE measurements, change-over time, first pass yield, nozzle/feeders errors by specific ID numbers, and more.
The plant-level dashboard is an advanced manufacturing intelligence (MI) tool, providing a high-level view of performance of multiple assembly lines, work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, and full metrics of KPIs focused on factory performance, asset utilization, product quality, and the productivity of the shop floor workforce.
Valor is able to interface many sections of the manufacturing operation with a high degree of accuracy, making the level of information that the Valor dashboards can present and the process coverage that they provide highly valuable, according to the company.
