ASK Chooses PDR at NEW
June 27, 2008 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
CRAWLEY, WEST SUSSEX, U.K. U.K.-based ASK Technology selected PDR, through its distributor Parkheath, as their vendor of choice for BGA rework systems.
ASK placed the order to supply PDR's Focused IR-XT5P rework system at National Electronics Week (NEW) in London. Directors from ASK, which specializes in prototype and low-volume PCB assembly, tested candidates systems at the show. They chose PDR systems due to the focused IR technology, and technical support from Parkheath. The IR-XT5P PDR machine will allow ASK to perform complex BGA rework requirements in-house, such as large BGA rework with adjacent thru-hole elements.
The basic IR-XT5 starts as a benchtop system and can be specified up through the high-end professional (P) system. All configurations come with controllable IR heaters, ThermoActiv V4 software, and high-end closed-loop automatic thermal control.
