Inovaxe Staff Join SMTA's MSD Council
October 18, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SARASOTA, Fla. Forrest Briggs, director of technical services, and Carl Schneider, principal software engineer of Inovaxe Corp., joined the SMTA Council on MSD. The MSD Council concentrates on advancing the practice of moisture control for sensitive devices.
Though Inovaxe Corp. concentrates on delivering supply chain management solutions to electronics manufacturers, the company's latest product, the Inocart, not only tracks inventory, but also stores components and devices in moisture-controlled environments.
Since standards are increasingly global, and with the control required for lead-free components, the MSD Council is predicted to play an ever-increasing role for EMS providers worldwide. It comprises representatives from engineering, production management, quality assurance, research, sales and marketing, education, and purchasing functions. Members voluntarily work on standards and studies in the MSD field.
