Prototyper Attains ISO 9001:2000
April 3, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
CANBY, Ore. Screaming Circuits received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quick-turn prototype-assembly operations. This action is part of a corporate plan to improve service levels and the prototyping process.
The company implemented an e-commerce website, along with a blog offering tips, hints, and guidelines for customers, to complement the ISO certification. Screaming Circuits also increased its internal sales and customer service staffs.
ISO certification, and the audit process, creates awareness of strengths and weaknesses in your processes, said Duane Benson, marketing manager at the company. Documenting these procedures makes improvements smoother, he added. Screaming Circuits, a division of MEC Northwest, offers PCB assembly for prototypes and performs quick-turn services on as few as one board.
